Pastor John is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the church and is the primary preacher and teacher at Broadview. John enjoys sports, music, photography and travel. Pastor Rudy has been the Children’s Pastor at Broadview since September 2012, and has a burden and passion for reaching and teaching the children that spans over 4 and 1/2 decades. You will often find his wife, Crystal, by his side within the ministries of Broadview Kids, as they enjoy serving together as a team. Rudy enjoys spending time in his garden and taking nature pictures with his camera. They have two adult children, one whom is married, making it three!
STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR
Pastor Chris joined our team as our Student Ministries Pastor in mid, 2018. Chris comes to us from Lethbridge where he completed a year-long internship at the Evangelical Free Church. Chris grew up in Southern Alberta near Lethbridge, Alberta. He enjoys any outdoor activities, reading, photography/videography, and board games.
Lis (Elisabeth) joined our office staff in 2019 as our office manager. Having worked in business administration in the Lower Mainland Lis enjoys the challenges of serving in the local church.
Joelle is the newest member of our office staff. Bringing her creative skills to the office, her work focuses particularly in the areas of publishing and communication. She has been a part of Broadview for most her life, taking a break only to attend university at UBCO and travel to Australia with YWAM.
Ruth Ratzlaff joined our staff in 2013. She and her husband, Terry, have been a part of our Church Family since 2005 when they moved to Salmon Arm. They have 4 adult children and 3 grandchildren. When she is not in the office Ruth’s real job is being a grandma.
Returning home to the Shuswap after ministering to tribal people in Papua New Guinea, an opportunity to serve as a custodian at Broadview in 2001 presented itself. Detlef and his wife have 3 married children and 4 grand-daughters. He values family and friendships. One of Detlef’s greatest leisure activities is playing competitive tennis.
